2024 Commencement Ceremony Live Video:

Attention Graduates:

As we approach the culmination of your academic journey at Southside Virginia Community College, we want to ensure that your graduation ceremony is a memorable and safe experience for everyone involved. In light of health and safety guidelines, we are implementing certain measures to maintain a secure environment during the event.

Please note the following details regarding ticketing for the graduation ceremony:

  1. Ticket Requirement: In adherence to safety protocols, no entry will be permitted without a ticket obtained from a graduate. Each graduate has been allocated a limit of six tickets to distribute to their guests. (An email was sent to the graduates’ MySVCC email account from the ticketing system at Longwood - Joan Perry Brock Center.  The email contains specific directions on obtaining tickets which can be printed with a barcode or electronic with a barcode.)
  2. Ticket Guarantee: While possessing a ticket ensures entry to the venue, it does not guarantee a seat. Seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage all attendees to arrive promptly to secure their preferred seating.
  3. Ticket Claim DeadlineAll tickets must be claimed by Monday, May 6th. It is imperative that you obtain your tickets within this timeframe to avoid any inconvenience or disappointment.

We understand that these measures may present some challenges, but please understand that they are essential to prioritize the health and safety of all attendees. By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure a smooth and secure graduation ceremony for everyone involved.

If you have any questions or concerns about the ticketing process, please do not hesitate to email graduation@southside.edu.

We look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with you and your guests.

Tickets will be required for all guests attending Graduation 2024.  Graduates will receive an email from the ticketing system at Longwood - Joan Perry Brock Center.  The email will give specific directions on obtaining the tickets which can be printed with a barcode or electronic with a barcode.  Tickets are limited to 6 per graduate and will need to be presented at the door to enter Graduation.  Tickets are free.
