John Johnson grew up in various places due to his father's employment, with his earliest memories being of South Hill. He graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School before attending Southside Virginia Community College.

Candi Pearson grew up in Lawrenceville, VA and graduated from Brunswick High School. She attended Southside Virginia Community College's Practical Nursing program at the Estes Community Center in Chase City and was on the President's List.
Belinda Dickerson grew up near Emporia, Virginia helping her grandparents farm tobacco, peanuts, corn and cotton. She dropped out of school at the age of sixteen. But, after much pushing and encouragement from a brother, she returned to school at the age of thirty to earn her GED.

Due to her father's occupation, Stephanie Sanders' family moved several times during the course of her childhood, but spent most of her youth in Wisconsin. Stephanie successfully completed her GED and enrolled in Southside Virginia Community College. She received a Career Studies Certificate in Gaming Technology and earned her Associate of Applied Science in Information Systems Technology from SVCC.
Caitlin Crowder grew up in South Hill and graduated from Park View High School. She earned her Associate degree in Registered Nursing from Southside Virginia Community College. Before becoming a Registered Nurse, Caitlin made such a good impression while doing clinical time for an Introduction to Health Professions course, that she was offered her first job in the healthcare field as an Emergency Department Technician at Community Memorial Healthcenter (now VCU-CMH).
Michael Luongo, originally from Freehold, New Jersey, was enrolled in Southside Virginia Community College's Associate of Arts and Science in General Studies in preparation for transfer to a four-year university.
Cecelia Gregory, who is known as "CC', grew up in Chase City and graduated from Bluestone High School. She earned her certificate in Practical Nursing from Southside Virginia Community College.
