Atomic Learning tutorials are now available to all Southside students, faculty, and staff!!
About Atomic Learning
"Atomic Learning provides web-based software training and curriculum resources for more than 110 applications students and educators use every day. This just-in-time approach focuses on answering the common questions people have when learning popular software packages." http://highed.atomiclearning.com/
Video Tutorials are provided for programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Gmail, Google Docs, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and many, many other programs. The tutorials are provided in brief 1-3 minute video clips and are assessible on both a PC or a Mac.
To Access Atomic Learning
- Option 1 (On or Off Campus): If you have access to Blackboard, scroll down the SVCC tab until you find the information on Atomic Learning. Click the Atomic Learning logo (within Blackboard) to access the site without needing to log-in.
- Option 2 (On Campus): If you are at one of our campuses or centers, you can click on the Atomic Learning shortcut found on the computers in the labs or type in the url of the website within your web browser (http://highed.atomiclearning.com/) to access the tutorials without logging in.
- Option 3 (Off Campus): If you go directly to the Atomic Learning website while off campus or attempt to access a tutorial through any other method other than through the Logo link in Blackboard (Option 1), you will not be able to access any content without entering the college-wide user name and password. The Southside user name and password can be obtained through Blackboard on the SVCC tab in the information on Atomic Learning. If you are a student and do not have access to Blackboard, you will need to contact your instructor for this information. All faculty and staff were provided this information through email. The Atomic Learning site can be utilized by all SVCC students, faculty, and staff, and the user name and password information should not be given to others or made available to the public.
