African American History Month Kick-Off Event

The SVCC John H. Daniel Campus started the celebration for African American History Month on February 3, 2010. Students were invited to play the "Wheel or No Wheel" game show hosted by Steven Balcer. Balcer started the show by giving away money to anyone who wanted to play. Students answered trivia questions about African American, Native American, and Hispanic Heritage history to get on stage. In between trivia questions, students participated in funny physical stunts. Top prizes included a dvd player, web cam, and lots of cash!

To continue our celebration of African American History Month stop by Student Services (John H. Daniel Campus) to answer the question of the day. Winners are announced daily. In addition, on February 17th Ezibu, an African Dance Group, will perform in the Gym at 12:00pm in Keysville. Please contact Le'Tina Giles at letina.giles@southside.edu for details.
