Christy Taylor grew up in South Hill, VA and graduated from Park View High School. After high school, she attended Southside Virginia Community College, where she graduated with an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Business Administration.
After graduating from SVCC, Christy transferred to Old Dominion University, earning her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She completed her master's degree in the same field at American Continental University. Since, she has also graduated from East Carolina University's Commercial Lending School and University of Virginia's Bank Management School.
Christy is currently a credit analyst with Benchmark Community Bank and plans to continue learning to keep pace with ever-changing laws and regulations in the banking industry. She hopes to mentor other credit analysts, passing on her knowledge in the field.
When asked what advice she had for current and future students, Christy shared one of her favorite Confucious quotes, "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop."
