Courtney Britt

SVCC

A Jarratt, Virginia native, Courtney Britt was a Governor's School student at Southside Virginia Community College while in Greensville County High School. This allowed her to earn an Associate of Arts and Sciences in General Studies from SVCC the same year she graduated from high school.

After graduating from SVCC, Courtney transferred to the University of Richmond and completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is currently a consultant with the firm of Deloitte Consulting, LLC., where she loves helping clients solve complex problems.

Courtney ultimately would like to own a marketing consulting firm leading branding and imaging for clients in the entertainment industry or follow one of her passions and start a music academy for girls in under-served communities.

Reflecting on her time at SVCC, Courtney says, "My time at SVCC was awesome. I met wonderful, lifelong friends and was afforded the opportunity to be a college student while still attending high school. The level of curriculum prepared me tremendously for my transition to a four-year institution. My advice would be to learn all that you can and find ways to make topics applicable to real-world situations. Everything that you learn will in some way assist you in your daily life, whether it be next week or 5 years down the line. Most importantly, always put your best foot forward and do it with a smile."
