Eric Sencindiver is from Vienna, VA and graduated from James Madison High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology from Bridgewater College and then made his way south to the Raleigh area, working in jobs that involved government contracts.
After relocating to Southside Virginia, Eric became interested in specialized STEM (science, technology, engineering mathematics) programs, which led him to enroll in Southside Virginia Community College's machining program offered at the Southside Virginia Education Center in Emporia, Upon completing the program, Eric went to work for CNK Machine Manufacturing, a privately held company that manufactures precision machine parts located in Chesterfield County.
Eric's job entails working with engineered metal components. Day to day activities include reading blueprints, cutting raw materials, and setting up, running, cleaning and inspecting machines. He says he enjoys the complex trade and its continuous learning opportunities.
Eric spends the workweek in the Richmond area but looks forward to returning to his house by the Meherrin River and his dog, Bubba, on weekends.
