George Sandridge grew up in Keysville, Virginia and graduated from Randolph-Henry High School in 2017. In his junior year of high school, George began attending the Governor's School of Southside Virginia (GSSV) on Southside Virginia Community College's John H. Daniel campus. He chose to attend GSSV for the opportunity to earn a college degree while in high school and because of the positive reviews he had heard about both GSSV and SVCC. George graduated from SVCC with an Associate of Arts and Sciences in General Studies in 2017.

George then transferred to Virginia Tech, where he completed a bachelor's degree in political science in just two years due to SVCC transfer credits. His ultimate career goal is to work in politics, preferably as a lobbysit or as a policy analyst.

Currently, George works in Policy and Advisory Relations for the Virginia Municipal League and is a member of the Keysville Town Council. He plans on attending Liberty University to work towards a master's degree in public policy.

When asked to reflect on his SVCC experience George said, "SVCC was a wonderful institution that allowed me to pursue my educational goals. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable, and the facilities were top-notch. I would highly recommend SVCC to any student or professional looking to advance their educational and career goals."
