Melody Foster


A Randolph-Henry Henry High School graduate from Charlotte County, Melody Foster earned an Associate of Applied Science in Data Processing from Southside Virginia Community College.

When it came time to select a college, Melody chose SVCC to guide her into a career path. "The relaxed learning environment and affordability make SVCC a great fit for anyone looking to achieve higher educational goals," she says.

After graduating, she was hired as an Administrative Assistant by Commonwealth Regional Council (CRC), the regional planning agency serving the counties of Amelia, Buckingham, Charlotte, Lunenburg, and Prince Edward. She has remained with the agency serving in several capacities in her progression to her current position of Executive Director.

A lifelong learner, Melody has taken multiple training courses and received certifications in her field and plans to continue seeking training that will assist her and CRC's endeavors.
