Alumni Spotlight - Tammy Goldman

Tammy Goldman

Tammy Goldman grew up in Cullen, Virginia and graduated from Randolph-Henry High School. Because of its affordability and convenience, Tammy went on to attend Southside Virginia Community College, where she earned two associate's degrees.

After graduating from SVCC, Tammy transferred to Old Dominion University and completed a bachelor’s degree in human service counseling with a minor in community health.

Tammy is currently employed by Charlotte County Public Schools where she holds many responsibilities. She is a paraprofessional prekindergarten teacher and director of the after school program at Phenix Elementary School. During the summer months, she is the director of Charlotte County’s daycare program.

Reflecting on her time at SVCC, Tammy says, “SVCC was a great experience for me, and I would recommend it for any student who is not yet ready to totally leave home.”
