The Teen C.N.A. Club Visits The Board of Nursing

On Jan 25, 2010 The Teen C.N.A. Club traveled to the VA Board of Nursing to observe a disciplinary hearing. This club was founded by the SVCC-JHD dual enrollment nurse aid students in 2008. Students were able to see first hand the course of action the Board follows when nursing codes have been violated. Cases vary each visit but students have heard cases based on abuse, neglect, drug use as well as licensees that have failed to comply with board regulations.
