Several students in the High Performance Technology program offered by SVCC at the LCAKC traveled to Halifax on Saturday, February 20th to participate in the Southern Virginia VEX Robotics Championships at Halifax.
Team 1851 (Southside VEXsters) qualified second overall after overcoming some early technical issues, formed an alliance with the Robo Roses (All GIRLS Team) from LC Bird High School in Chesterfield that led to the elimination matches.
The Southside Vexsters and the Robo Roses alliance finished 2nd overall with the VEXsters bringing home the individual team award "Inspired Design."
