Alumni Spotlight - Erin Sandow

Erin Sandow grew up in Green Bay, Virginia and graduated from Randolph-Henry High School. She earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences in General Studies from Southside Virginia Community College.

Erin transferred to Longwood University and completed a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and a master's degree in Community and College Counseling.

SVCC Regional Job Fair in Emporia

Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) and Greensville County/City of Emporia community partners will once again host a Regional Job Fair at Southside Virginia Education Center (SVEC) at 1300 Greensville County Circle, Emporia, Virginia. VCCS Redesign of Developmental Education Leads to Greater Student Success

Students at Virginia’s Community Colleges are earning more credits and credentials and faster thanks to a statewide redesign of the colleges’ developmental education offerings. The State Board for Community Colleges received those findings in a report, conducted by the VCCS’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness, during the Board’s January meeting.
