We visit with Ingrid Newman Fogg, Housekeeper at Southside Virginia Community College.

 

How long have you worked at SVCC? 

5 1/2 years

What is your favorite vacation spot?

I love the beach!

Who was your favorite teacher, and what grade or subject did they teach?

My favorite teacher was from when I was in the tenth grade. Her name was Gloria Jarrett and she taught Business at Central of Lunenburg.

What did you want to do when you grew up?

Along with being a mother, I always thought I would be a teacher.

What was your first job and for what company?

My first job was working for CarQuest in Victoria as an inventory person.

Of what achievement are you most proud?

The achievement I am most proud of is graduating from SVCC in 2018 with an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree,  Magna Cum Laude-High Honors.

If you could have lunch with one person, dead or alive, who would it be? What would you eat?

If I could eat lunch with one person I would choose my dad, who passed away in 2003. We would have his favorite, hamburger steak and gravy. 

What is your favorite song? 

I have so many favorite songs but my top two would be Billie Jean by Michael Jackson and Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton.
