Sharon Card

 

Born in Fairfax County, Virginia, then raised in Charlotte County, Virginia, Sharon graduated from Randolph-Henry High School before attending Southside Virginia Community College. Sharon says she chose SVCC because of the “affordable cost, the desired course offering, and it was close to home.”

Sharon successfully earned her Associates of Arts & Sciences in Information Systems Technology, and certificates in Cisco Networking, and Data Processing with SVCC before starting her career in the field. Since graduating from the College, she has obtained her COMPTIA A+, Server +, and Network + Certifications.

Presently, she works for Charlotte County Public Schools as the Network Administrator and offers the following advice to students, “Don’t overlook community college. It has a wide variety of course offerings for college bound and trade school students. It is a wise cost savings choice.”
