EMS 111: Emergency Medical Tech/Basic
EMS 111: Prepares student for certification as a Virginia and National Registry EMT-Basic. Includes all aspects of pre-hospital basic life support as defined by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services curriculum for Emergency Medicine Technician Basic. Prerequisite: CPR certification at the Health Care Provider level. Co-requisite: EMS 120. Lecture 4 hours. Laboratory 4 hours. Total 8 hours per week.

EMS 120: EMS 120 Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Clinical ( 1 CR) Observes in a program approved clinical/field setting. Includes topics for both EMS 111 and EMS 113, dependant upon the program in which the student is participating and is a co-requisite to both EMS 111 and EMS 113. Lecture 1 hour per week.

EMS 123: Introduces the student to local clinical agencies and prepares the student for clinical activities above the level of EMT. EMS 125: Basic Pharmacology
