As previously communicated on April 29, Nelnet Campus Commerce will be adjusting our standard discount fee and service fee rates for all credit card transactions by 10 basis points (0.10%), effective June 1, 2022. This rate adjustment is a pass-through of the fee increases imposed on Nelnet Campus Commerce and many other providers by the major credit card bands on April 23, 2022.
How does this effect us?
The credit card processing fee will increase on tuition charges from 2.7% to 2.8% effective June 1, 2022. Students can avoid this processing fee by paying online and selecting the eCheck payment option or by paying in-person or through the mail by cash, check, or money order (We do NOT want mailed cash; cash payments are only accepted in person at our two main campuses).
