SVCC Nursing Students Collect Blankets for Nursing Home

Students in Dr. Leslie Jackson’s first year Registered Nursing (RN) program, located at the John H. Daniel Campus, are spreading warmth and care this winter by collecting blankets for Amelia Health & Rehab residents. The purpose of the drive was to provide comfort and warmth to elderly residents as the temperatures drop. The students collected 100 blankets to deliver to the residents of Amelia Health & Rehab for the holidays. Students exhibit compassion and empathy qualities needed in healthcare workers. Dr. Jackson, Associate Professor of Nursing shares, “I am so proud of them”! Students will be delivering blankets in the next couple of weeks.
