FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Southside Virginia Community College partners with Baskerville Correctional Center, Lunenburg Correctional Center, Nottoway Correctional Center, State Farm Correctional Center, and the Virginia Correctional Center for Women. This initiative aims to provide educational opportunities, workforce training, and second chances for justice-involved individuals. By offering college courses, skill development programs, and mentorship, we're helping to create brighter futures, reduce recidivism, and strengthen our communities.
Chad Dotson, Director of Virginia Department of Corrections, tells CEO Magazine "It’s about what happens when people are released. That’s our responsibility, and we take it very seriously.” To read more on the benefits of our partnership with the Department of Corrections, please visit https://digitalmag.theceomagazine.com/chad-dotson/
