  • Began as SVCC Athletic Director in 2022

  • Retired as the SVCC Men's Basketball Coach in 2022 after compiling a 284-144 record over 18 seasons and leading the Panthers to four USA National Postgrad titles with the last coming in March, 2022 with a 65-52 win over Tennessee Prep in the West National Collegiate Prep title game. The other national championships came in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

  • SVCC earned its third consecutive national title after capturing the 2017 USA national prep post-grad championships in n. Myrtle beach, sc with a 70-56 win over forest trails (NC) to finish the season with a 17-9 record.
  • SVCC repeated as national champions after capturing the 2016 USA national prep post-grad championships in n. Myrtle beach, sc with an 85-83 win over faith baptist (ga) to finish the season with a 14-8 record.
  • SVCC won its first-ever national title in 2015 capturing the USA national prep post-grad championship in n. Myrtle beach, sc with a 67-65 win over Moravian to finish the season with a 17-7 record.
  • Won his 200th game on February 22, 2015, when SVCC defeated conference for Thomas Nelson cc 93-86 in Lawrenceville.
  • SVCC won its seventh state title in 2014 with an 81-69 win over Thomas Nelson CC. It was the fifth championship in the past six years.
  • SVCC won its sixth state championship in 2013 with a 127-111 win over Tidewater CC in the title game. It was the fourth championship in the past five years.
  • SVCC captured the school's fifth state championship and third in the past four seasons after topping Northern Virginia CC in the title game in 2012 in Chesapeake. SVCC finished as co-champions during the VCCS regular season.
  • SVCC finished second in the final VCCS regular-season standings in 2011 and advanced to the elite 8 at the ACIS National Championships.
  • SVCC won the VCCS state championship for the second straight year in 2010 over tidewater community college in roanoke and earned a runner-up finish in the ACIS National Championships. The team finished with a 20-9 record.
  • SVCC won the VCCS state championship in 2009 downing Northern VA CC in the title game in Hampton. The team finished with a 21-9 record. The force won the VCCS East Division regular-season title for the third straight year in 2008 and ran their home winning streak to 33 games over the past four seasons. Finished as VCCS state tournament runner-up for a third straight year.
  • The force compiled a 27-5 record in 2006-07 winning the NIRSA mid-Atlantic regional championships at uva and capturing the VCCS west division regular-season title. The force finished as the state runner-up in the VCCS state tournament and earned a top 16 finish in the ACIS National Championships for the second year in a row.
  •  SVCC force compiled a 21-6 record in 2005-06 winning the VCCS East Division regular-season title and finishing as runner-up in the VCCS state tournament.
  • The force finished in the top 4 in the thrill on the hill regional tournament at the UNC-Chapel Hill and finished 16th in the nation in the NIRSA National Championships in 2006 at Georgia Tech University in Atlanta, GA.
  • Debut southside force team went 1-10 while rebounding to go 10-10 in the second season including wins over eventual state/conference champion Thomas Nelson and state runner-up SVCC Alberta Panthers (Christanna)
  • Head coach for 2005 Bryant Stith shooting stars AAU 15u team that won Virginia USSSA State Championship and finished fifth in the USSSA National Championships in FT. Wayne, Indiana
  • Head coach for the Southside Virginia shooting stars 16u team that won the USBA National Championship in Myrtle Beach, SC in June 2006.
  • Led stars 14u shooting stars team to a fifth-place finish at AAU national championships in Cocoa Beach, Florida in 2004
  • Director of Workforce Development at Southside Virginia CC
  • Long-time sportswriter and sports columnist for the South Hill enterprise newspaper
  • Was captain of the collegiate golf team at Averett University
  • Played high school basketball at Mecklenburg academy where he was an all-VCC performer and averaged double-doubles in points and rebounds his senior season. School MVP in senior season. First four-sport letterman at ma (soccer, basketball, golf, and baseball) in senior season
  • Earned BA in English/Journalism/Communications at Averett University, an M.Ed at Virginia state university, and a post-graduate certificate in workforce development from the University of Virginia.

  • Took over as Head Men's Basketball coach for 2022-23 season

  • Serving as an assistant coach, Brown helped the Panthers capture their fourth national title in March, 2022 when SVCC topped Tennessee Prep 65-52 in the West National Collegiate Prep title game.

  • Beginning the thirteenth season as a men's coach at SVCC

  • Serving as an assistant coach, helped SVCC to advance to the national title in the 2020 USA National Post-Grad tournament where the team fell 81-67 to Stillwater Christian in the title game.
  • Serving as an assistant coach, helped SVCC to earn a national three-peat as the 2017 National Prep Post-Grad Champions with a 70-56 win over Forest Trails (NC) in N. Myrtle Beach.
  • Serving as an assistant coach, helped SVCC to repeat as the 2016 National Prep Post-Grad Champions with an 85-83 win over Faith Baptist (GA) in N. Myrtle Beach.
  • Helped SVCC to the 2015 USA National Prep Championship with a 67-65 win over Moravian in N. Myrtle Beach.
  • Serving as an assistant coach, helped SVCC to state titles in five of the first six seasons and a runner-up finish in the 2010 ACIS national championships.
