Applications for our August 2021 ADN Program are now being accepted. Prior to submitting an application, it is mandatory to complete a Nursing Information Session (currently virtual), specific to the year to which you are applying. A session between July 2020 and April 15, 2021 meets requirement for August 2021 program. Deadline to apply is April 15, 2021.

The Nursing Program equips the student with the knowledge and skills needed to begin professional practice in the care, counseling, and education of healthcare consumers in a variety of settings.
Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the student is eligible to take the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensing Exam-Registered Nurse). The SVCC Nursing Program assists in providing a competent entry-level Registered Nursing workforce for health care centers and providers in Southside Virginia.

Program Outcomes, NCLEX Pass Rates, And Student Achievement Data
1. The program's 3-year mean for the NCLEX-RN will be at or above the national mean for the same 3-year period.
2. Sixty percent of the nursing students will complete the program within three years of entrance.
3. Eighty percent of new graduates will be employed within six months after graduation.
